Legacy Hills in Celina is still under development, but the project has already been recognized as the best-planned community by the Dallas Business Journal.

The development will eventually host 7,000 single-family homes, 4,100 apartments, and numerous amenities, DBJ reported. Centurion American is the project developer who is working with several home-building companies to create a variety of home designs for the project. Ashton Woods, Beazer Homes, and DR Horton are among the builders involved. Three lot sizes will allow for unique neighborhoods.

The entire community will be built on over 3,000 acres of land and will feature a man-made pond and swimming pier, an 18-hole golf course, a 27-acre sports park, and a three-mile walking and biking trail. The project will also include two brand-new schools and two fire stations. The community will even have a dedicated 55+ neighborhood being constructed by Del Webb, a national designer of senior communities, as reported by The Dallas Morning News.
