A new residential community on the way in Collin County will bring more than 400 homes.

Centurion American Development Group is building the Chalk Hill community on Preston Road in Celina. The new development is near Celina High School at County Road 102.

Builders Beazer Homes and D.R. Horton plan to construct 440 single-family houses in two phases at Chalk Hill. Homes in the project will start in the mid $250,000s and range in size from more than 1,500 to almost 2,600 square feet.

Chalk Hill is planned with a community pool, open space and neighborhood walking paths and trails.

Centurion American is one of North Texas’ largest residential community developers, having built projects for more than 40,000 single-family homes.

Celina is one of the fastest growing residential communities in Dallas-Fort Worth, with almost 1,900 home building permits in 2020. With just over 23,000 residents now, Celina’s population is growing at a rate of 18% a year.
