Centurion American kicks off $6 billion Preston Harbor project

David Craig sees Preston Harbor take shape as longtime friend Mehrdad Moayedi starts building community with 1,200-plus homes

Centurion American Development Group is moving dirt at a $6 billion project on the shores of Lake Texoma.

The Farmers Branch-based company, led by CEO Mehrdad Moayedi, purchased 550 acres on July 28 within the massive Preston Harbor community. About 338 acres are planned for 1,184 single-family homes, and another 211 acres will feature 115 estate lots ranging from a half-acre to 7 acres, according to a recent announcement.

Construction has already started, with a groundbreaking ceremony held Oct. 17 at 8030 FM 84 in Denison. That was a major milestone for a project that will provide a huge economic jolt in the rural Texoma region an hour north of the Metroplex.

Centurion was selected by Waterfall Partners, led by David Craig, CEO of Craig International and master developer of the 3,100-acre Preston Harbor. Some of the featured homebuilders in the Centurion community will include Crescent Estates Custom Homes, Lennar, D.R. Horton and Beazer Homes.
